you took a very mundane experience and made a magnificent image! this is just gorgeous to look at. each character compliments the other. top notch stuff--one of your very best works, duncan! wow!
To say your on a roll would be an understatement. As with your previous post your control with black and white photography is very impressive, in my mind it's a lot harder to get right than colour; because your reducing the image to its most basic elements without any distractions. Anyway great perspective here and excellent treatment in PP.
Superb shot. The positioning of the figures and their posture creates a great tension and the wonderful B&W conversion just enhances this mood. Very nicely done indeed.
I already commented, but I think I failed to convey how completely blown away I am by every square inch of this shot. With an eye like yours, I think you must know that this is special and be proud that you pulled it off. Just bloody marvellous - this one goes in your book!
Although almost certainly total strangers, we get the impression that the two are a couple, and not getting along terribly well at the moment. Especially for those of us who are aware of the old-fashioned way of Japanese spouses sitting back-to-back and studiously avoiding all eye contact during such times.
