Well done: a super-detailed portrait of an expressionless face. All those details keep the eye darting around the image, taking everything in. Also the black-framed glasses add the only bit of modernity to an otherwise timeless image, and even then, the glasses could be from 40 years ago. The two legs (of the photographer?) reflected in his glasses - well that's obviously a representation of the Eye of Horus alluded to in your title. It would seem that Kheoh's comment is on the money.
