Apologies for my absence of late. Been somewhat snowed under with various responsibilities regarding my sister in laws wedding, entertaining various guests etc. Laziness and photographers block also played a part ;-) But many thanks for all the feedback in my absence. Its most appreciated. Back at the grindstone but will be squeezing in some AM3 time Thursday/Friday in order to catch up etc. I'm backdating shots of the wedding for friends and family once they've been post processed (massacred in my case) but you'd all be most welcome to take a peek once they're up. Link to follow shortly...

Really like the juxtaposition in your shot Duncan. The reflection down the middle suggests 'anti-symmetry' to me (that's a made-up word by the way).

I love the contrasting expression and body language.

I agree with Michelle and detach also the degree excellent (intensity) of the lighting. Very well my friend!

Nice work Duncan. It reminds me of some of Weegee's work, except in color.

Hey, glad you're back, Duncan! A very interesting image with tremendous split framing. It seems that the left and the right sides occupy almost separate worlds, with the girls in 3D and the man on the left compressed almost to the degree of poor Jimmy in my posting today. It's almost as though he were painted on the wall, which is perhaps how he's perceived by the passing crowds - as part of the architecture. Great scene full of details to fix the eye on, and dramatic lighting throughout.

Unreal contrast between the two subjects in this shot.. Perfectly composed

On first viewing I wasn't to sure about the processing with this one, but it's growing on me. I like the two-worlds concept living side by side, one ignoring the other; it's a poignant shot, cleverly framed.

It's amazing the capacity people have to act like certain others just don't even exist. And the Japanese have raised it to an art form.
