Very emotive image Duncan. 27 Mar 2007 10:07am @Helen: Thank you Helen. all I can say is I wish him well. Daroru from Osaka, JapanReally good. The geometry and lights behind add another interesting dimension to your shot Duncan. 27 Mar 2007 1:49pm @Daroru: Thanks Daroru! Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesExcellent portrait. Incredible narrative and emotion... 27 Mar 2007 3:14pm @Untitled: Cheers mate! Still from Valence, FranceA stunning portrait! This man seems to have a heavy life... 27 Mar 2007 8:50pm @Still: Merci beaucoup my friend. Michelle Bialowas from Melbourne Victoria, AustraliaWooo...What a capture - the high beams of light really contrast againts the reality of this tired, dirty poor soul. 28 Mar 2007 11:36am @Michelle Bialowas: Thanks Michelle! @Nick Passantino: Thanks mate! Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaSomething of a 'Stray Dog' feeling about this one. Ever had one of those days when you're more dead than alive, yet you keep going somehow only because you've done it so often? I think of your subject that way. As some of the paramedics I work among have commented regarding certain patients on the edge: 'he was already dead; he just didn't realise it yet. 29 Mar 2007 4:07am @Damon Schreiber: Aye. Its a sad sight and you tell a sad story. He's a regular fixture around my work to the point where I think he's actually getting annoyed with me being in the same locale with a camera around my neck. Last thing any of us should be doing is making folks like him any more miserable than they surely are already. G'luck to him. @Michael Zhang: Thanks mate! Mike Cash from Kiryu, JapanI used to have a similar fellow who was a fixture around the neighborhood I worked in. Every now and then I'd slip him a pack of smokes or hook him up with a hot meal. No sense in eating out of a dumpster every day. 1 Apr 2007 8:00am @Mike Cash: its a sad scene ne. kudos for doing what you can. |
