@Daniel: Thanks Daniel! apologies for the lack of comms as of late...Im insanely busy. Im getting round to replying first then catching up with what ive missed. See you on your blog soon.... Aidan from Seoul, South KoreaI like this composition very much. the way the line of the grass follows the line of the horizon is eye-catching. Quite different than your other work. 15 Feb 2007 5:48am @Aidan: Thanks Aidan, Yeah im feeling rather 'lost' at the moment as for what to shoot. a bit aimless. Its resulting in random images from here there and everywhere, some of them Im liking but some are rather uninspired (my next train shot is a disapointingly bad example). Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandNo morning is ever late enough for me, and I hope you packed your thermal underwear! Lovely tones of grey along the distant hills, and the silhouettes of the grasses are terrific! 15 Feb 2007 5:54am @Bronnie: Hey Bronnie, thanks for the kind words! Francis from Hong KongDuncan very nice composition. Is that black and white or just the color when you took it ? 15 Feb 2007 7:08am @Francis: Hey Francis, thanks for the kind words, this is a black and white conversion btw. Manuela Photography from Hainburg (near Frankfurt/Main), GermanyExcellent silhouettes and very moody! 15 Feb 2007 8:46am @Manuela Photography: Thanks Manuela! Pedro Ferreira from PortugalThe wind gives it a nice touch, it was early in the morning but you got compensated, nice work Duncan 15 Feb 2007 9:13am @Pedro Ferreira: Cheers Pedro! I'm glad the frosty walk gave me an image I could use. Untitled from Kyoto, JapanThere's a change of pace from you...a very delicate shot! 15 Feb 2007 10:19am @Untitled: Thanks Man, randomness is going to reign for the next week or so. @julia: Cheers Jules! not so tranquil at 5.30 am and your teeth are chattering though ;) Btw, You, Toru and Lennon should get yourselves out this way if you ever fancy having getting the kids together and whatnot, you're most welcome! Stu from Kyoto, JapanWas going to say not your usual style but H beat me to it. Lovely shot, mate! 15 Feb 2007 10:50am @Stu: Hey Stu, not my usual I know. My next usual is actually a disaster (maybe two posts from now I think). Feeling a bit lost as to what to shoot at the mo, we'll have to get together soon for a shoot. @Maoya: Cheers Maoya! @Craig Persel: Thanks Craig! Bob from Hibbing, Minnesota, United StatesIt kind of reminds me of where I grew up. You have quite an eye, young fella. I was cold once too. 15 Feb 2007 1:52pm @Bob: Hey, I know you! Cheers for the visit T. I love the comment ;) you really know how to make my day mate! See you again soon I hope, maybe if you have free time...we could go shooting stuff. Helen from Melbourne, AustraliaWonderful. What a special composition. As they say .. no pain, no gain. 15 Feb 2007 2:13pm @Helen: ;) I guess you're right! Cheers for the visit Helen! Darren from JapanWell mate a nice shot and copy Stu's comment. 15 Feb 2007 2:13pm @Darren: Thanks man, Im currently in a no comms mode myself, Im gonna play catch up once ive replied to peoples stuff, as its always really appreciated. Ill get around to the catch up game hopefully tonight/tomorrow! @Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Many thanks Alfredo! Michelle Bialowas from Melbourne Victoria, AustraliaI understand , early mornings are painfull, especially when it's cold! Looking at this image the early morning was worth it - this image is just beautiful! The composition is very powerful and the grey scale tones are amazing. Great work from you once again. 15 Feb 2007 3:16pm @Michelle Bialowas: Thanks Michelle! for the comment and the continued support. it really makes my day! @Craiger: Thanks Craiger! @Mike Cash: Cheers Mike! @Martine Lapointe: Thanks Martine, that means a lot, especially coming from you. many thanks again. Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaClassically beautiful! Those are some subtle and excellent tones you captured. And the grasses tower over the mountains. And what Maoya said! 15 Feb 2007 7:52pm @Damon Schreiber: Thanks Damon! sorry for the incommunicado state of late. Im gonna get around to catching up today/tomorrow. Same old story..work. Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaA very moody photo that's full of life; the wind blowing the grasses in the foreground and the mist rolling off the hills in the background - looking away from the city; just great. I wouldn't be so quick to stop the morning routine mate, this and the shot from two days ago are both amazing - although this is coming from the worst morning person in the world. 15 Feb 2007 8:39pm @Chris Sullivan: Thanks Chris! The mornings admittedly do have their upside, Its just my body screams no at the idea. My kids do tend to give me a ceremonial wake up sometimes by jumping on 'daddy monster' whilst wearing their ultraman pajamas so I might have to use those early get ups more productively. Still from Valence, FranceGraphic and very elegant! I like how your subtl grey here! 15 Feb 2007 8:40pm @Still: Thanks Still! Angry Buddha from United StatesGreat shot!! I love the silhouettes flowing with the wind. 15 Feb 2007 9:33pm @Angry Buddha: Cheers Sean! Sarah from Gainesville, United StatesThis is a superb shot! I love the silhouettes, it's almost a lonely feel for me.... 16 Feb 2007 12:32am @Sarah: Thanks Sarah, its a tad lonely for me too, its shot right on the edge of the city where man stops and nature takes over. Evelyn from New Milford, United StatesThose mountains remind me of Japanese/Chinese ink paintings: somehow mixed with water, present and not present at the same time. Making them into a background for the sharp lines of the grasses was an interesting juxtaposition. 16 Feb 2007 3:03am @Evelyn: Thanks Evelyn. I love that reading. thanks again! |
