@Daniel: thank you Daniel. Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandGreat shot. Hope you have a good night catching up! 12 Feb 2007 8:40am @Bronnie: cheers Bronnie! Kheoh Yee Wei from pj, MalaysiaWow,free lance guitarist,I always admire these people ;) Great shot man ! 12 Feb 2007 8:50am @Kheoh Yee Wei: thanks mate! Jerry from Tampa, United StatesGreat capture Duncan - less than ideal conditions, you have a fine image!!!! 12 Feb 2007 12:31pm @Jerry: Cheers Jerry! @Stu: cheers Stu! Still from Valence, FranceINice street scene. Ilike how you have captured the grey of the night sky in the back ground. The musician, looks as if it wil be colored on a desatured sky. 12 Feb 2007 2:59pm @Still: thanks STill! @Angry Buddha: ;) Ill try Sean! Colour blind from Tokyo, JapanLooks like a great singer. Still exploring your other styles...still loving it mate. Keep it up. I reckon this photo would have really worked as a close up of this face and mic only. That's just what I think anyway. 12 Feb 2007 3:34pm @Colour blind: Thanks man. good idea and I wish I'd gotten in closer to be honest. These guys play quite often apparantly at the same spot (stus seen em before) so a retake will be done if I catch 'em! Shuva from Hyderabad, IndiaNot a very Duncany picture---this one, but we need t take a break. 12 Feb 2007 4:24pm @Shuva: I want to trademark Duncany! thanks Shuva! @objectif-plume: Thank you! Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaWow, once again a cosmic coincidence. Very nice image, and if as you say he wasn't that hot with his guitar, it doesn't matter because rock and roll is all about image and he looks so cool with his kahki jacket and orange telecaster. The 'no scooters or bikes' sign behind him does tend to diminish his star power, though. 12 Feb 2007 7:44pm @Damon Schreiber: Yeah, he had the image down. Nice hair too. And yeah, the cosmic coincidence strikes again! Thanks Damon! Pedro Ferreira from PortugalI my self have a telecaster red apple candy, in my youth i played in a band, thanks for making me remember my youth Duncan, nice shot. 12 Feb 2007 8:38pm @Pedro Ferreira: Thanks Pedro! Wow you had a nice guitar, I had to settle for a fender copy growing up! @Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Thanks Alfredo! It was a kind of bluesy rock number (he was part of a trio). very good if a little unpolished. Well worth a listen though. Michael Zhang from New York City, United StatesGreat sense of "street" with the map and No Bicycle/Scooter sign next to him. 12 Feb 2007 10:33pm @Michael Zhang: Hey Michael. cheers mate! loving your playground series. wonderful stuff. jc from IrelandDuncan , I've just been back through your last few days and you are on one serious role at the moment .. absolutely fantastic stuff! the portraits have an assurance about them which really is impressive and the processing has been spot on, keep it up mate! 13 Feb 2007 12:11am @jc: Cheers Mate. Very kind, and many thanks from me again. Anne from White Rock, CanadaYour portraits are just great. I like this composition with just enough to show he is on the street. The upper part of this musician against the dark sky separates him and leaves the photo great and uncluttered. 13 Feb 2007 1:10am @Anne: Thanks Anne. very kind. much appreciated. Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaNice one mate, I like shots of musicians doing their thing. Youv'e captured this guys creativity, or at least his style very well; the details like the building lights in the background the no bikes sign and the red light of his amp make for an interesting backdrop - or as Michael says: "Great sense of 'street'". 13 Feb 2007 3:47am @Chris Sullivan: Cheers Chris. He was playing in pretty foul conditions, freezing cold and wet, wish I'd managed to show his situation a little better but I didnt want to stick my camera in his face and what not. @Prashanth: Thanks again Prasanth! @Craig Persel: Cheers Craig! |
