Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandI wouldn't like to come across him on a dark night! Once again, a view of the world that is unique. ps are you vegetarian?! 1 Feb 2007 5:39am @Bronnie: ;) nope! not a vegetarian Bronnie! Although I am awfully fond of Tofu! thanks mate! Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaHaha, tough guy. Photo breathes attitude; great title too 1 Feb 2007 10:15am @Chris Sullivan: Cheers Chris, he didnt like me very much! one of the few times I felt a bit weird about shooting someone. If he'd come out and openly protested I wouldnt have posted, as it was, he just took to glaring at me as above. Stu from Kyoto, Japan:-] Not a happy bunny is he! Wont be asking him round for a Glenlivet (or is it Four Roses now?) thats for sure. 1 Feb 2007 12:09pm @Stu: ;) the Four Roses shall never be spoke of again! foul stuff! cheers Stu! Alfredo J. Martiz J. from Tokyo, JapanI like his look, he is a really tough guy, great attitude, and proud of himself too. 1 Feb 2007 2:42pm @Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Thanks Alfredo! Zach Siebert from Bologna, Italyhe's all like "wussup" and you're all like "waaaaaasabi". nice meat shot. i'll give you some meat with my post tomorrow, duncan. keep it coming like this. this is a bit absurd and that's good in my book. 1 Feb 2007 3:42pm @Zach Siebert: Haha! The meat shot is alwasy a winner Zach! Angry Buddha from United StatesI guess I could have that look too if I swung a meat cleaver for a living. Mess with me and I'll add you to my menu. Ground Buddha...$2.99 a pound. 1 Feb 2007 3:54pm @Angry Buddha: ;) as long as youre well seasoned and marinated! cheers Sean! Damon Schreiber from Toronto, Canadaheh heh... A butcher shop... Looking good, and I forgot how expensive meat is there (in my terms $30/lb for a roast: 高いぞ)! The butcher himself doesn't strike me as particularly tough looking - mostly just curious, though I know how these guys can get about photography near their shops. 1 Feb 2007 6:37pm @Damon Schreiber: Aye. he was wary, thought Id snuck him candidly from hip but he was wise. As I said to Chris, I wouldnt have posted this if he'd openly protested. He seemed to let it lie after a prolonged glare. They dont like people shooting anywhere near premises do they! @Still: Aye, swinging cleavers and hacking up meat maybe doesnt offer the most variety in your working day. He seemd to be banished to the back area away from any direct customer service role! Michael Zhang from New York City, United StatesWow what a character! You're a brave photographer to take this one. I've always appreciated your dedication to getting the shot. 1 Feb 2007 10:49pm @Michael Zhang: Thanks Michael. He was not a happy camper thats for sure. Almost didnt post this as I think he was rather annoyed and I dont really want to annoy guys who are making an honest living. But he didnt take it any further than the staredown, so up he goes! @Darren: ;) bit cold for that mate! Ill give you a bell in summer though and you can come up to Kyoto for one by the kamogawa...lovely! Daniel from United StatesLooks like he is eyeballing you! I like this shot, the man and his proffession in one. 2 Feb 2007 5:45am @Daniel: Thanks Daniel! much appreciated. Almost didnt post it though as the other replys may illustrate. @Untitled: Looks like he'd fit right into the office dont you think? ;) @Nick Passantino: Thanks Nick! Rene from Kitchener-Waterloo, CanadaNice, you can almost feel him sizing you up, and deciding on the marinade. Nice work. 7 Feb 2007 4:54am @Rene: Thakns Rene, I'd be a bit stringy for him I reckon, I need a bit of fattening up before I start feeling nervous around butchers shops! Giorgia Palmas from ..., Israelluogo interessante, soddisfare interessante, buon! 5 Mar 2007 3:14am @Giorgia Palmas: domo arigatou gozaimasu! |
