aw, what a sweet old lady! I do like the processing in this one: the balance of purple and yellow tones, the revelation of detail at the top of her turtleneck. The only thing is the right side might fade into blur a little more quickly than my eye expects. I think it's the blurry white shape that adds to this impression.

Lovely portrait. I think this needed a tad of fill flash to even out the light, because the highlight in her hair keeps distracting me from her face.

@Sheldon Hull: Cheers Sheldon. I employed a gaussian blur to the background and diffused the light here to give it a softness. It's quite effective at providing that soft look yet retaining enough clarity and sharpness in areas that need it. I recommend it for this kind of effect.
