Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaGorgeous work and model! So soft and warm, so hazy and light. This photo feels like a hug from grandmother. 8 Jan 2007 5:43am Evelyn from New Milford, United Statesaw, what a sweet old lady! I do like the processing in this one: the balance of purple and yellow tones, the revelation of detail at the top of her turtleneck. The only thing is the right side might fade into blur a little more quickly than my eye expects. I think it's the blurry white shape that adds to this impression. 8 Jan 2007 5:53am H.O from Victoria, CanadaDuncan-san. this is really great work and nice portrait ! 8 Jan 2007 8:44am Manuela Photography from Hainburg (near Frankfurt/Main), GermanyDuncan, your portraits are always a caress to the heart! They are so full of tenderness... Love it! 8 Jan 2007 9:36am Kerstin from Paris, FranceThis portrait is so expressive. So soft and smooth and at the same time determinated. This is a woman who know what life is all about. 8 Jan 2007 12:28pm Daniel from United StatesLovely portrait. I think this needed a tad of fill flash to even out the light, because the highlight in her hair keeps distracting me from her face. 8 Jan 2007 2:18pm Srinivas Koduri from Visakhapatnam, IndiaSimply superb work, very soft lighting, excellent expression everything is so perfect . 8 Jan 2007 2:54pm Craig Persel from Montreal, CanadaBeautiful portrait. Wonderful lighting and treatment. 9 Jan 2007 4:11pm Anurag Sharma from Pune, IndiaI can't think of words worthy enough of praising this photo. 10 Jan 2007 6:50am @Anurag Sharma: thanks so much anurag. thats the best praise Ive recieved all day. thank you again! @Prashanth: thanks Prasanth! Martine Lapointe from Québec, CanadaBeautiful portrait! We can "see" the wisdom of this woman... 10 Jan 2007 5:39pm @Martine Lapointe: thanks Martine! shes a wonderful lady, my wifes grandmother. Im glad she's been so well received on here today! MontereyJohn from California, United StatesA face with character, nice shot, well captured. 11 Jan 2007 6:12am @MontereyJohn: Cheers John, she's a lovely woman (my wifes grandmother). Sheldon Hull from Houston, United StatesWow. Great clarity. I like the soft focus. One of my favorite effects 12 Jan 2007 5:30am @Sheldon Hull: Cheers Sheldon. I employed a gaussian blur to the background and diffused the light here to give it a softness. It's quite effective at providing that soft look yet retaining enough clarity and sharpness in areas that need it. I recommend it for this kind of effect. |
