Right, the next series is brewing. Until then, its going to be random images! And yes, more Train stuff. I did the 'official' train series a while back but to be honest it's never going to finish. What with the time available for me to shoot each day (belive me, with my schedule its limited!) it's an opportunity too good to pass up. Anyway. Randomness is going to reign until it's ready... I'm looking at next week (fingers crossed).

I am liking your series of busy people close-ups.

@Shuva Brata Deb: Thanks shuva!
thought you said you had no good shots left Duncs. great capture of his face through the hands. kinda looks like he's photographing you. i'd love to see the position you were in getting this one without being seen man!

@Stu: You know me stu, I tend to blow things out of proportion! for the techniques employed to capture this read Martine's reply...
another wonderful shot! really ... how do you take these shots duncan??? i'm much too shy to even think about it ...
14 Dec 2006 6:35am
@wanganeges: hey wanganeges...Im shy too, but an easy way to capture these is revealed in the answer to Martine's comment...
Wow! impressive!

@Still: Thanks Still!
This made me laugh! If you hadn't told me (and apart from the coat of course) it could look like this guy is doing some kind of remote surgery or something! Just feel like a hand is gonna reach in at any moment: 'Nurse! Wipe my brow!"

@Shadow Mountains: ;-) lol shadow. I should change the title after reading this!
Surgical! I take it from the title that he's playing a video game (?) Anyway, it's quite a shot, hidden as you apparently were between his ankles.
14 Dec 2006 9:37am
@Damon Schreiber: Hey Damon, not quite between his ankles but mighty close...check the reply to Martines comment yesterday for the answer. And yup, any otaku out there care to take a guess at the game? the title should be an easy giveway...
Strange shot. This is more cluttered than your usual shot.
14 Dec 2006 9:57am
@Daniel: Cluttered is the word mate. we were squezzed in pretty tight...rush hour.
Geeks/Otakus know that he is holding a gameboy micro.... Oh sh*** I've busted my cover. But what with the mask? Do you need to have a mask to take the train? Really I'm with wanganeges on this... how can you take photos like this? Do you know these people?
14 Dec 2006 10:08am
@MnX: Thank the lord for flippable screens! I must admit I have mastered the 'glance down'. Its always handy to have a psp/gameboy micro yourself (crikey my otaku covers blown too!) which is atop your camera. This is most convenient for the 'Oh I'll just have a fiddle with the GB for a while'. Portable gaming devices should be standard issue with M.I.5 operatives.
i love randoms! keeps it fresh, which is vital. This is cool -- the mask makes it a classic

@Zach Siebert: hey Zach. thanks man. randomness will indeed be the order of the day!
Nice shot mate. They wear those masks in Kyoto too, hey. At first I thought it was a guy in surgery and I was surprised I almost thought you were going to do a hospital series then I noticed he was on a train playing a GB. Nice shot mate.
14 Dec 2006 11:16am
@Darren: oooh...hospital series...never mate..I'm too squeamish...once did a series at the vets, shot them operating on a cat and I fainted!
Slightly surreal shot... Which means I like it!

@Mammoth in Chief: I'm down with surreality too man!
I'm always down with randomness! This is such an unique image - with all those cords and gadgets coming out of everywhere - the face mask makes it look like he's performing some delicate operation, which he probably is. As always a fascinating look at the world!
14 Dec 2006 8:32pm
@Chris Sullivan: Thanks Chris, the delicate operation was no doubt the 'Bowser stomp'. Bit of a giveaway regarding the game there...
Continue your "anthropologic's pictures"!

@Martine Lapointe: Ill try and keep them coming Martine. Thanks for the encouragement!
Great shot with atmosphere, once again!
